As a godparent, you are entrusted with the responsibility to help guide and nurture the child in the Catholic faith, serving as a spiritual mentor and role model. To ensure that you are prepared for this important role, we ask godparents to be active, practicing Catholics who have received the sacraments of Baptism, Eucharist, and Confirmation. Before the baptism, we encourage godparents to attend a preparation session where we will discuss the responsibilities of this sacred role, including the commitment to prayer, support, and fostering the child’s growth in faith.
